Just confirms more and more what I already suspected.

I read that at work one day on archive.org and then went across the street and bought it.

I read the first chapter this morning in school. It's certainly one of the better books I've come across.
Unfortunately I dropped it in the hallways, so at the moment I'm in book limbo until I can get another copy.

The Trouble with Physics - Lee Smolin
I'm still at the beginning but so far, Smolin has done a really good job explaining how modern physics came to be. He covers Kepler, Newton, Maxwell, Einstein ,etc and gradually goes deeper into the weirdness of the quantum world and its huge non-intuitive features that are so difficult for humans to understand. I think he also covers the current "war" between String theory and Loop Quantum Gravity but am not there yet...
