Everything you need to know about the Immortal http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Immortal_(video_game)

But no, whilst ordinarily I would see the merit in going back to an old game to test improved lateral thinking/problem solving, I fear that doing so in this case would only serve to update the heartache and horror lol.

Incidentally out of the games of yore that I have revisited, I have found that Zelda-type games present less of a challenge than they did before. Conversely, my performance in purely reflex orientated games (quake, Streetfighter) has deteriorated noticably.

I don't know if i posted in this thread already but here's my favourite any ways. Age of empires 1 and 2, the first sims, and rollercoaster tycoon. Most of my early childhood was spent playing those games. The only new game that i really like is Call of duty 4.

Anbody got Fight night round 4?

I've got it on the 360. I made the mistake of going online and facing three people ranked in the top 100 in the world on world championship mode. Got owned by two of them, give the other one a good game, knocked him down, the git came back though, knocked me out.

I need more practice, those guys are incredibly good.

I just did a search for the word 'fight' in my games collection and found loads of titles, but not Fight Night. However, I've just noticed that you mention the 360 (so it must be a modern game), I was searching in my collection of ROMS (i.e. - games for the Mega Drive, SNES, NES, GAmeBoy, etc.) which I have on my hard-disk.

For me Jet Set Willy on the ZX Spectrum is the most Heavenly game (and there's so many fan versions out there too). I have and continue to play that particular game throughout my life whilst all the others fall by the wayside over time. Sure it has flaws (continuous falling deaths being my main gripe) but I still think it's as close to perfection as you can possibly get. I use an emulator nowadays to play it, and my USB joystick!
There's that smell again...

THank you for the beautiful memories, Rajahten. You're the first here to have mentioned Ecco the Dolphin though. I actually bought this game and enjoyed it too, but do you remember all of the complaints about it? I think that it only received complaints because it was a difficult game to play.

That game WAS hard. I don't think I ever beat it without cheats. The controls were sort of weird, too. But it had great music and a great idea behind it. Good game!

It had good graphics for its time too. Ecco looked rather cute and 'clean' (graphically-speaking). I never completed it, but I still have it on my PC as a ROM. In fact, I have most of those games on my PC that you've listed. Do you collect retro games as ROMS too?

PS3: Oblivion, Littlebigplanet.

Xbox: None

Xbox 360: Halo 3, Mass Effect, Left 4 Dead, Tales of Vesperia

Gamecube: Tales of Symphonia, Mario Party 5, Animal Crossing (once again, Mother was an addict), Pikmin, Luigi's Mansion, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
