Paul Newman is actually an actor I really like, because of his role in Cool Hand Luke. I'm not just saying this because he died yesterday either.

*Vincent D'onofrio- His facial expressions are awesome.

*Bill Nighy- Awesome facial expressions as well. (Before I even saw the credits I knew Bill Nighy was Davy Jones. I recognized his facial expression even under all that octopus make-up. Scary huh?).

*Ben Kingsley- His performance in "House of Sand and Fog" is the greatest acting I have ever seen. And I've seen a lot of great acting.

*Alan Rickman- Need I say more?

**and Vin Diesel has the sexiest voice of all time.

Future Nihilist, I never realised that Alan Rickman was the guy in Die Hard (I just looked his name up on Google). I was also then surprised to see that he was the villain in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. I actually saw that film (Robin Hood) seven times in the cinema here in my home-town! I loved it so much. Costner is one of my favourite actors too.

Yes, Alan Rickman is one of those actors who only shows up every now and then but when he does I HAVE to go see it, no matter how bad the reviews. He's done a lot recently though with Harry Potter, Perfume, and Sweeny Todd.

Lighthearted is good...

I don't really have any 'favorites', but Sean Connery and Michael Caine in "The Man Who Would Be King" is definitely a keeper...Italian Job (Caine) and Bridge Too Far (both again) were great as well though.

One of the tops in terms of being a chameleon has to be Gary Oldman. If you look him up, you'll find he's one of those guys that's in everything as well.
Kevin Spacey's pretty good at morphing himself too (Usual Suspects - wow)

Vincent D'Onofrio and Val Kilmer both impressed the hell out of me in Salton Sea. For versatility (the true measure of an actor, no?), the brightest star of the new generation has to be Johnny Depp.

Milla Jovovich strikes me as one of those truly creative people that I envy. Same with John Malkovich and Clive Barker (even though he's not an actor)

I'd like to see what else both David Tennant (newest Dr Who) and John Simm (Life On Mars)can do.
Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Spaced) is a hoot
Robert Carlyle +1 (Ravenous)

Actresses ? Hmmm...in most of the films I've watched, there aren't a lot of roles that an actress can shine with, but Frances McDormand for sure though. Lena Olin as well (no, it's not the Baywatch chick, lol). Cate Blanchett did a good Hepburn in The Aviator. If you're a fan, it's worth watching just for that.

I loved him in The Professional

Clive Barker is a god. I have always been envious of his mind.

She was awesome in Alias
