Apparently, these are my results:

    93% Beginner
    93% Intermediate
    100% Advanced
    60% Expert

I am very disappointed by them, as I should have got 100% in each category.

I thought that I was good at spelling & grammar but I realise now that I've only made a huge push to become more 'proper' with my English within the past 3 years. (I left school in the year 2000.)

Yeah I left school in 2000 also. In the past few years I made minor attempts to improve my vocabulary. I think I might get a Nintendo DS and get one of those ‘improve your English’ games.

But you have nothing to worry about, you got really good score’s. I don’t think you should be too worried about not getting 100. I think it’s nicer when people don’t necessary adhere to the strict rules of grammar but have a more freer way of speaking. I hate people who correct other peoples grammar, their such narcissists.

I think I try too much to speak 'perfect' English - I know that I should be more free with it though, to prevent myself seeming like a complete stuck-up git.

The DS is very cheap, so, if you're gonna buy it, buy it now. Prices for things are dropping everywhere now. It's about bloody time too because we have been fleeced for too long in this country. I mean, like, it's so depressing.

is this good or bad?

You scored 50% Beginner, 93% Intermediate, 80% Advanced, and 67% Expert!

You have a good understanding of intermediate and advanced commonly confused English words, getting at least 75% of the intermediate and advanced level questions correct. The puzzling part of your test result is the fact that you only answered 75% or less correct in the beginner section. Fascinating.

Sounds good rich - top notch! I love the last sentence in their piece about you: "The puzzling part of your test result is the fact that you only answered 75% or less correct in the beginner section. Fascinating.". I guess that that IS fascinating. I certainly cannot think of a reason why this would be the case. Maybe you didn't pay attention in school when they were teaching the 'easy' words, but then you started paying more attention in later years of school when they were teaching the more advanced words.

You scored 86% Beginner, 86% Intermediate, 67% Advanced, and 60% Expert!

You have a good understanding of beginner and intermediate level commonly confused English words, getting at least 75% of the beginner and intermediate level questions correct. This is a good score. Remember, these are commonly confused English words, which means most people don't use them properly. You got a respectable score.

I did it again and got better results:

86% Beginner
93% Intermediate
100% Advanced
73% Expert

I still fail to understand where I am going wrong though. It is upsetting me a bit because I thought that I had the English language covered!
