Looks count for nothing, if you ask me. Being able to talk to someone and be the person you know you are and not the one you pretend to be is what counts. I can tell my wife virtually anything about how I feel and think and she doesn't judge me for it and vice-versa. That's rare. That's a friend.
Yes, and that is why teenagers struggle in their love conquests: They don't know who exactly they are yet and are all trying to find common ground. Life seems to get easier with age, I must admit. I'm only 25 now but I realise that I am vastly differnt from when I was 17, 18, and 19. For one, I am much more confident and comfortable with my personality and body.
