Songs that cheer you up

Forget about mental illness for a while and just let loose in here.

Whoa, wait, I was half-joking.

MadMel, I'm just guessing that you meant you played some general music and not Harry Potter exactly.

Walking around listening to your MP3 is nothing weird, of course. Ya just don't hear of too many people playing Harry Potter soundtrack music as they do so, however.

Personally, I can't really get into music that doesn't include singing. I might try the Harry Potter thing, but it would probably just get on my nerves if anything. You know?

Hmm, as for the HP sountrack.... It's as good as any other singingless movie music, if you know what I mean. On the part of me that was being serious, I just meant that if you were to walk around listening to the HP soundtrack, it would take you back to Harry Potter Land and all its magic and stuff. ;)

It could work, depeding on the person.

I like Steal my Sunshine by LEN, by the way. 8) I just said "like", because my Earth/Space Science teacher played it all the time when we walked into class, right at the beginning of first period. It now reminds me of school mornings. :(

And I love playing fast paced music as I'm walking around. It runs me up like a motor. Does anyone else do this? 8)

The Animals' House Of The Rising Sun is also good

I have not read the books or seen the films Chucky, but have watched JK Rowling in interviews and started to feel like this.

That is a very 'cheery' and 'Summer' type of song. The band were basically pieced together from a few different bands and they are Canadian I believe. That track even made it big all the way over here in the UK & Ireland. In fact, they still play it!

Another good one is Shawn Mullins' Lullaby

I do that sometimes - yes. It gives you the feeling of having more energy and allows you to walk fast. I've noticed a good few other people doing it too around the city.

You can add What A Fool Believes and Give Me The Beat Boys to that list. They are timeless classics. It's a pity that the Doobie Brothers aren't too popular here.
