I knew I was going to wake up the scientist that is in you. In relation to CO2 you are right. Anyway, with all this of global healing or the called now " climate change" there are many things that couldn´t been explained for sure. At least, not yet.

That's true. We have the science there, but there is nothing to prove it against. i mean, we can predict how the Earth will change, but we need to prove it. The only way that we can prove it is to wait.

Sunny and warm, for winter. Due to hit the high 40s or low 50s. Wild weather, here. In the same week, it can be below zero (Fahrenheit) and above 50. In fact, it was exactly that last week, Sunday through Saturday.

There's documented reduction of polar ice caps spanning 100 years. The big question I have is: is it solely our fault, or is there some natural cycle happening, like bringing on an ice age? And if it's our fault, is there anything that can be done about it?

Now there's something I really miss. Back home in Ohio, though, there would be a nice, gentle patter of rain, constant, the sky a very bright gray, might be a little damp, but the rain isn't hard enough to yank leaves off of trees, and there's no one trying to stay close to shelter in case of tornado (southwest Ohio actually gets tornadoes). Then it stops, and there's this...smell. Soil and leaves and green, hear the water dripping through the earth to reach the little seeds that will soon sprout, yearling deer stumbling through the forest beside their mothers, songbirds coming back out to sing the clouds away and bring the sunshine back out...

Yeah, we don't get that here in Colorado. Oh, there's rain in the spring, but it's not the same. And if it's warm enough, it evaporates before it hits the ground. Okay, that's actually kinda neat. But it's not right.

Still warmish, sunny, lovely, calm. February, March and April seem to be our snow months at the end of winter, and I expect this year to be a rough one.

NGofCS,

Yes we live where tornados are frequent anywhere from sprin to late fall. We were in one in October of 2001.we were all safe and unharmed thankfully.

We love colorado and was trying to convince my husband to move there but then I was explained just how bad winters are there. And I probably wouldn't like it. We love the Estes Park area and probably are talking of going back this summer. The almost small guaranteed rain shower to cool things off in the afternoon there in summer is quite nice. And no not enough to do damage. Just falls for a while. We love to hike and other than lightening, the rain doesn't deter us. :).
