Just a Hello!

I didn't see an intro topic, so I figured this would be the best place to introduce myself! Hello. My name is Kelly. I can't really say I have any "disorder", but I love to help and support people who do. I belong to another forum where people talk to each other and help each other with their problems. Of course, I am not perfect either. Just because I don't have any specific diagnosis or anything does not mean my life is perfect. I have my ups and downs like everyone else. I also have an interest in science and psychology and I hear I am pretty good at giving advice. So, I guess you could say my main reason for joining is just to give comfort and support to others while sharing my own stories, views and problems. I'm not a doctor...and I don't intend to come here to make everyone feel like they are "different" and "abnormal". I'm just here to make some friends and spread some cheer!

By the way, I think you should make an intro forum. I see it on a lot of other sites and I think it is a good addition.

Hello! I keep typing this message out but it never appears so sorry if you are reading this for the third time! Lets hope it works this time-yeah its hard to get a conversation going! What are your hobbies?

Oh you don't have to worry, it only showed up once lol. My hobbies? Well, music is a big thing for me. I compose my own songs. It is rather interesting the way I do it...well first of all, I kinda tought myself to play the keyboard. I never got lessons, but I started playing by ear and I got kinda good at it. So all my songs use my voice and the keyboard. I mainlydo techno. I love the mysterious minor key sound. I'm so big on that. I tend to use mysterious or thought-provoking lyrics. Also, some of the songs I use 6 different voices on, so that it sounds like a whole group or band instead of just one person.

I also love science, nature and the outdoors. You'll see me in the woods a lot going hiking. I never really got into the hunting thing...and I haven't gone fishing much, but I'd like to start fishing more often. But I mainly like the outdoors for the connection I have with nature. This goes along with my love of storms. If you see rain and hear thunder, you'll see me outside or in my car chasing it LOL.

Let's see what else...I am long winded, obviously! LOL but that's what message boards need right? You wouldn't want all posts to be a sentence. I love playing tennis too. I don't get the chance to play as much as I used to, so I'm not nearly as good as I once was. But I still enjoy it a lot. I also love swimming. I go in the water even when it's 60 degrees out LOL. No, I don't belong to the polar bear club LOL...

I am already jealous of you because I have absolutely no musical talents and i've always wished that I could do something like that. Apparently I can sing but I really don't think that I can. The only thing that I really enjoy is drama (which is annoying because everyone always wants you to sing!)

I think that the best music is stuff that has meaningful lyrics! Otherwise I don't really see the point.

I like swimming to but don't go often because I think people are watching me. Apart from that I don't really have any hobbies.

If you don't have musical talent, I'm sure you have some kind of good talent. Everyone's good at something! You say you like drama? Well, there are plenty of actors/actresses who can't sing. Many times I wished I was good at running, but I am as slow as they come LOL. I can go good on a tredmill but that's about it! Everyone is good at something and terrible at something else. Keep seraching hun, you'll find your talents!

Welcome Nattjoik. I haven't been professionally diagnosed either, I just believe I am really, really different, a revolutionary, if you will. I am also a musician and received a little bit of training, trying to "make it big!" If you are interested you can check out a performance of mine on youtube. Not high quality but fun nonetheless. It was a present for someone special to me.

Wow, radames! You sound like you could be the voice of someone singing a song on a Disney classic! I thought it was really good. Your voice is very unique and it sounds like a stage voice...by that I mean like something out of Broadway. But even better, I could see your voice as one of those cartoon characters in a movie. Do you like acting too? You'd be great at that kind of stuff!
