I own Fearless, it is a good film, a bit predictable at times but I definitely liked it. Jet Li is a real master, and he said that Fearless was going to be hist last period piece martial arts film which is too bad. Although he does have a new movie coming out this summer with Jackie Chan that looks like a period piece, although it also seems more like an action-comedy instead of a film like Fearless or Hero

If I had been his character, chances are I wouldn't have gotten into the ring with that 7 foot Irish monster. He was the same big guy from the beginning of Troy, the actor was actually a contestent in the world's strongest man competition at one point. Fighting him would be undesirable!

Was that 'big monster' Irish? I had no idea - I'm Irish too. Did you not think that the end to that fight was unpredicatable though? I mean, the big dude admitted defeat and shook Li's hand at the end. I was sure that he was going to use that as an opportunity to finish him [Li] off.

Fearless is great. Fantastic, actually. Plus Jay Chou did an awesome song of the same name just for the movie (fearless in english, huo yuan jia in chinese). It was also Jet Li's 'last epic movie' according to his agent. I think he is trying to move his branding more strongly into western crime-dramas.

Yeah, it is actually a marginal breach of his supposed retirement from epic films. Mind you, it is a western film, and I think that was more his point (That he is trying to leave the chinese scene and focus on Hollywood). Incidentally this is the first time in decades of acting that these two dramatic legends have ever starred together.

I didn't know that at all - Thanks for telling me :)

Anyone a fan of the Police Story films? They're quite 'crude', acting-wise, but great fun all the same.

I have watched Crouching Tiger and, for me, it was ok. I'm not really a fan of Asian movies.
