This had me laughing so hard I about wet my pants.

Bush had a report sitting in front of him titled "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in the US" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bin_Laden_ ... ike_in_U.S. )

Bush appointed a man who ran Horse Shows to run FEMA, leading to the worst handling of a disaster in modern times. When this man failed miserably costing many lives and Billions of dollars, Bush shook his hand and said "Heck of a job Brownie."

Bush had US Attorneys fired because they wouldn't prosecute for non-existent voter fraud by Democrats.

Bush oversaw an administration that outed an undercover CIA agent, a move which could have cost her life.

Bush has set the country back more than 5 Trillion dollars because of his "fiscally conservative" policies.

Bush invaded Iraq, a sovereign nation, using manufactured evidence to push the decision through Congress.

Bush abandoned the real war on terror to prosecute his personal vendetta against Saddam Hussein.

The Bush White House handed out Billions in no bid contracts to the very company that VP Cheney used to run, and will likely go back to running once his political career is over.

Bush changed a policy long held by the US that torture was not allowed.

Bush authorized the creation of a series of secret prisons overseas in countries with a more "forgiving" view of torture because the torture he himself approved wasn't enough for him.

Bush virtually destroyed the very constitution he swore to protect by approving the warrantless wiretapping of US citizens.

Bush allowed the Oil Companies to essentially write his energy policy, leading to the oil and gas crisis we're currently in.

Bush gave more tax cuts to the rich, including those bankers on wall street that everybody is talking about now, than any president before.

Bush allowed the Pharmaceutical companies to write a new drug plan for Medicare (Part D) causing millions of elderly folks to lose much of their medication benefit and resulting in more profit for big Pharma.

Bush has single handedly destroyed the good image other countries have had of the US since WW2. (http://pewglobal.org/reports/display.php?ReportID=165 and http://pewglobal.org/reports/display.php?ReportID=256)

I could go on but I'm tired from all the typing.

Bush will go down in history as the worst President the US has ever had.

Bush's actions within the past few years have been... ...'understandable' (when you consider that he's a stupid man). Ultimately, the world's resources are depleting and the big nations are ensuring that they will have access to these resources for a long time to come. In essence, they want to remain 'big'. So, I do not agree with the actions of the USA, but I DO understand them. They are no different from what Russia and China do - i.e. bully their neighbours and other smaller nations to ensure that they know who's the boss.

If Ireland was a big nation, we would be doing the exact same.

Both candidates are deeply flawed and will be controlled by forces beyond their control.

If current polls prove true, the Congress will be controlled by the Democrats and their policies will prevail over the President's. The political pendulum is swinging far left as an over correction of the failures of the conservatism which began with Reagan.

While this scenario of fluctuation has been played out since the country began, I fear that the economic crisis will create knee-jerk reactive legislation that will not actually solve the problem but damage the laissez faire principals that define the capitalist base of the US.

As far who will win, the polls are still close and remarkably so considering the great advantage that Obama has in campaign cash and the negatives that McCain carries. That does not bode well for Obama and the danger is that number of closet bigots is larger than the recognized 5% which could tip to election for McCain.

Ah, you must be one of the 23% that said he was doing an ok job.

Yeah, the man was great... biggest deficit ever, worst economy since the Great Depression, and the lowest approval rating EVER.

You're right though you have your opinion, and 73% of the country has mine.

The democrats have only had a minimal majority in congress for 2 years, how long did the repubs have a majority before that?

Take a look at the policies of those so-called fiscal conservatives

http://www.cedarcomm.com/~stevelm1/usdebt.htm

See how spending skyrocketed during the reign of St. Reagan and the Bushies? And what's that leveling off there? Oh my, it seems to be the "tax and spender" Clinton.

Just in case that doesn't make my point clear, here's some more.

Boy am I glad McCain is a "Fiscal Conservative"... it's making this SO much easier.

The truth is harsh aqua... and the truth is that Republicans work their hardest to give money to fat cats in big oil, big pharma, and those already rich... and you know what? As a little guy, I'm sick of it, and so are many others... and that's why McCain is losing.

The sad truth is that there hasn't been a true Fiscal Conservative Republican since Eisenhower. Democrats tend to be more fiscally responsible over the long run, and the last financial crisis of this magnitude had the last truly great president to lead us, I only hope Obama takes a lesson and surrounds himself with real experts instead of his buddies like the current idiot/president did.

Does Congress hold some responsibility, yes it always does. So let's fix it. Make it illegal for pork to be added to bills without attaching the names of all involved in that pork. Let the citizens see who is costing us OUR money so we can get those idiots out of office - regardless of party.

meh whatever. Yer words don't phase me one bit :P Nobody can change my opinion of the left side. It's just the way I am. Ya can argue it all ya want, but to sway me is a completely different story!

I just don't see how the dems think that makin the rich poorer helps things at all! It's common sense that if the big companies get bigger then those poor people will have better job opportunities! whoa ok they won't be getting stuff for free anymore! Boo hoo! Now they have enough money to pay for it themselves and be like everybody else!

Is this getting too hot for this forum? I don't wanna go over the top...

Actually it's the smaller companies that provide the most jobs. The larger companies ship jobs overseas in droves while shutting down factories here. Just take a drive through Ohio and Michigan and you'll see what I mean.

I don't expect to sway you, most diehards can't be swayed at all. Just like the religious fanatics.

And your "comment" is called "trickle down economics" and by the way it's been shown to be ineffective by most economists and by the very economy we're in now. But of course the fact that your idea is a broken one won't matter.
