In some parts of the UK they use the word "muffin" to mean a small soft bread roll.

Is it this you mean or do you mean a cake?

In the United States, a muffin is going to be sweetish and more like a cake, than a loaf, but not necessarily as sweet as a cupcake, nor iced. Correct me on any of that as necessary, Tyler.
