I already made a thread about it, and it's stickied right at the top of this forum. I understand a major election just happened in the United States, but please, stop talking about it. People come to this site as a safe space, to get away from things in their lives. I may be in my twenties, but the most recent election was the most polarizing of my life. It was so polarizing that my birds didn't even talk about it.
A lot of people are sick of hearing about it on non-psychforums sites, and a lot of people still feel scared of what's going to happen, even though the election is over. Don't remind them of the troubles that this planet has, all around the world, by bringing politics into discussions.
This has gotten out of hand recently, and I'm asking you all to please stop. I'm not trying to be a buzzkill, but enough is enough. This forum is titled "Just For Fun," and when you talk about politics, no matter what you say, it's not going to be fun for someone. We talk about music, and cats, and doughnuts and all sorts of things not relating to mental illness in this forum, but none of that stuff with upset or even trigger anyone. Politics can very easily trigger someone into an episode.
Thank you
