Oh me that ain't good. I usually put on a movie I know by heart, when that happens. On my phone, with the sound low but understandable, and close my eyes and 'watch' it in my head. Usually works for me.

I do that too!
People are always saying to me not tom have any noise but i find it easier to have something to concentrate on rather than silence. My brain just loves the silence!

Yes. I prefer the drone of something- preferably an old movie that I like and have seen many times, but not one that rivets my attention.

I can eventually fall asleep if I'm having trouble, without it, unless my mind is racing- if my brain is just too full of thoughts- or if the threshold of sleep is too noisy from dreamlike images going by one after the other, and there's no internal quiet, or, at least, one nice mental daydream that can gradually break up and lead to sleep- then I HAVE to have something for my ears, to switch off the unending mental noise.
