Archetype(s)?

Postby DaturaInnoxia » Thu Jan 16, 2020 7:50 am

I'm wondering if people here know their Jungian, or any other, Archetype(s)?

If anyone's interested in taking it, below is a brief quiz to guess at your Jungian Archetypes

https://www.psychologistworld.com/tests ... etype-quiz

This quiz predicts your archetypal self and persona.
Some think an individual has multiple archetypes (ex: shadow, persona and self) while others just focus on the dominant part of their personalities...

▪The Persona is the part of you that you present to the world or the part of you that you normally use to interact with others

▪The Self is you; the essence of who you are.

More on Jung's Model of the Psyche:
http://journalpsyche.org/jungian-model-psyche/

▪The Wise Old Man / Sage description (also correlates with the Hermit, a much older archetype):
https://www.envisionyourevolution.com/p ... tomy/1795/

I'm the jester / fool (etc) for persona in jungian archetypes.
▪The Joker has multiple sides; more than just "clowning around"
These can be archetypes in themselves

Some descriptions of the Joker:
The Archetype of the Fool, the Clown, the Jester and the Trickster:
https://stottilien.com/2013/04/03/crazy ... trickster/

▪There's major overlap between the fool and the wise man archetypes hence the "Wise-Fool" archetype that is much older than Jung's.

Mmmmm.

So, somewhat akin to the first year of Tarfley.
The young have aspirations that never come to pass, the old have reminiscences of what never happened.

 Sometimes when I’m bored I go out to the yard, hang myself from a tree, and pretend I’m a plum
