Back from vet. He has tummy issues, but we're not sure what yet. Also the bill made me angry that I feel empathy towards animals more than humans.

Reached my limit of chasing the inner truths and playing the zen master, I'm most definitely not immune to superficial human cravings. I really just wanna go out and not come back for 5 days. I seem to punish myself with these extreme isolations. Sort of an intense external stimuli followed by intense internal stimuli periods. Wish I could integrate these extremes into a normal life but it really seems I'm unable to. Just further away from understanding where this split is coming from. Tired of chasing the wisdom and just wanting to play for a while.

He's been playing rather rambunctiously whether with me or by himself, so that much is better anyway. We're waiting on tests, and I get to give him meds at the hour. Fun.

Stoically handling the remaining 10h of not at all most important deadline of my life while enjoying my 11th coffee and weird eye twitches from staring at a screen all night. NOT

I suppose blindness and caffeine overdose are a reasonable price to pay.

It's freezing cold with real nice sunshine, sparkling snow everywhere. We went to a public swimming pool and just now I cooked some salmon with sour cream and onions, fresh potatoes and carrots. Yummy!

there's a vanity* challenge disguised as a book club going on so - trying to get ahold of F.D.'s Demons/The Devils/The possessed. Dying to read it. Guilty of a deadly sin.

Goes nicely with my recent H.B. obsession:

I got a concerned pm, so giving a lil update that the veterinary receptionist told me the test results came back negative, his doc would call me tomorrow for any questions and such, and Max is acting much better. Been giving him meds since Wednesday for his stomach issues, and they seem to be working.
