In 1779, the Wolf Law Library was established in Williamsburg, Virginia, USA. I did not know wolves had specific laws. "No howling on somebody else's territory" and the like, I guess.

1781: Immanuel Kant published Critique of Pure Reason in which he seeks to determine the limits and scopes of metaphysics.

In 1782 the name Bong Hippo was rare, extremely rare. I came upon the name in a book I researched at the Beyazıt State Library in Istanbul (Turkey). The book is entitled "Pişmiş Hamurdaki Şekiller Kitabı" (trans. The Book Of Shapes In Baked Dough). All of this came about as part of my ongoing research in Semiotics.

1784: Immanuel Kant published "What Is Enlightenment?" as part of a litterary backlash against clergymen. He was not the only one to answer but his work became the most famous of the lot. Think "YouTube comment section argument" or "TikTok callout storm" but through newspaper articles and books.

1786: year minus 200 before mushrooms stop being edible in Europe for a while. But, no worries, the Rhine river will stop the radiations and magically make mushroom edibles on its west bank even though they aren't edible on the east bank.
