Do you believe in reincarnation?

Forget about mental illness for a while and just let loose in here.

I realize this aspect might have been voiced already (I'm not gonna read ALL the posts), but if reincarnation was true wouldn't the number of people on earth be always the same? How come more and more people are being created? Obviously because birth is dependent upon fertilization and not on a previous life.

This sentence intrigues and baffles me.

Are you trying to say that;

A: What I wrote is a blatant and overt coping mechanism (which it is; cynnical intellectualization based on personal observation)

B: The idea of an after life is a coping mechanism (also true)

C: just a statement saying what people say and beleive can be either a coping mechanism or just a passive "limited observation".

D: Both A & B

E: All of the above or some other combination

F: None of the above. You are trying to say something else that I failed to comprehend.
It was actually an innocuous suppliment to your notion heading towards option B and C. I am not pointlessly aggressive enough so as to intend option A (true as it may be). Given there was a combination that would also qualify E.

I think that there isn't reincarnation, only an eternal awareness, where the soul never dies (if that makes any sense).
Think that maybe we really do go back to the dust we were made out of. But although I do not believe in past lifes, I do however believe that in multi-dimensional realms, that we have twin-flames out there, many copies, call them doppelgangers or whatever.
Because at times (and no! not when I'm dreaming) I'll feel something so strange, a physical sensation all too real that has no reason to be there, like I'll be walking and feel like I'ge just been shot or stabbed, accompanied by this inexplicable sadness, or I'll be laying down and literally jump up when I feel like I've tripped or fallen. Now I do have night terrors, they never left me, but that's another story, wich will belong better somewhere else.
You know when you have those dreams...and you do/see certain things that are way familiar even thought you could swear you've never...well, yeah, in my opinion that there is a glimpse at another life, not necessarily a past one, although I must say that does bring some heavy pondering on the notion of time travel, but then again science could never explain dreams. Ok, my cat wants me to take her out now, got to run! Laterz
a world abandoned by its creator, a universe in chaos, this wasteland, this killingfield, an eternity of. rotten despair..
