Milk is disgusting

Postby 135642 » Tue Jan 20, 2015 11:31 am

How can anyone like cow milk? It's made for baby cows. We aren't even closely related to cows. It smells like rotten fish and tastes the same. I find no pleasant attributes in milk. It is disgusting. It's not 'organic', it has hormones and chemicals in it, not to mention blood and puss apparently.

My mom used to force me to drink 3 huge glasses of milk a day when I was a kid, for like 11 years. Society has successfully brain-washed us to think that we 'need' it.

It has tons of fat and cholesterol in it, it's the breast-milk of a barn-yard animal. It would make more sense to be drinking human milk. We aren't even supposed to be drinking milk passed infancy.

Now the main thing people think you need milk for is calcium, like it's our only source of it. Calcium is in tons of food and we could get more than enough just from that, we don't need milk for the extra boost.

A few years ago I stopped drinking cow milk entirely and switched to soy milk. Although I felt like some health fanatic, it tasted exceptionally better. Even the non-flavored stuff. After drinking that for a couple years, I went to Costco and had a cereal sample, the lady put cow milk in it. I thought, "Well it's just a sip of milk I probably won't notice it". I was wrong. It literally tasted like I was having cereal with rotten fish juice in it. It was repulsive.

We gotta stop drinking this stuff, man. It's not normal.

It would make more sense to be drinking human milk.

Can you imagine a workplace, populated by women who sit there with pumps attached to their tits?

They'd probably have to take some sort of hormone to make them produce milk, and in this day and age, equal opportunity legislation would probably require them to employ men as well, meaning there'd be lactating blokes with moobs... :?

I think I'm quite happy with cow's milk, thank you very much!

Sometimes I buy goat's milk. I don't notice any difference in it to be honest. It's a lot more expensive, but the goats on the cartoon are very cute, so it makes me want to support them.

Good God!

There is so much to find amusing in that article, but this last bit almost caused me to die choking on my sarnie...

City Funk

The human-goat blend – light on the goat, heavy on the human – is soft and spreadable, imparting a complex funk somewhere in between butter, yellow taxi cabs and wafting wavers of street cart smells.

Wisconsin Bang

A playful Vermont mountain goat herd milk tangos with the milk of a sweet lawyer’s assistant who hails from Wisconsin and is excited to become part of what she considers a “more acceptable and personal” cheese.

Sweet Airy Equity

Made from the milk of a kind young mother of Chinese descent hailing from midtown Manhattan, and a cow born and raised in the Catskills. Between working in private equity and eating lots of sweets, this mother has retained hints of her pregnant plumpness, producing a sweet, creamy milk.

Special mention has to be made for this gem...

“Human cheese is initially a pretty shocking concept to most people,” said Ms. Simun, whose project emerged from a Living Systems course at New York University’s Interactive Technology Program. “Many people feel uncomfortable because they don’t know the woman or what she is eating, but the women that participated shared their diets, their feelings, some biographical information. I think you’d be hard pressed to find a cheese where you can know this much about the cow.”

What on God's Earth does she think we think a cow does? How much dietary, emotional and biographical information is there to be obtained about the life of a cow?

Seeing as I eat beef but not humans I think I'd rather drink cows milk than human milk.

Yes I was a bottle fed baby rejected by her mother for being responsible for her caesarean scar (because of course I stopped breathing during labour on purpose just to scar her for life..). No tit for me. Thank god.

Milk is nicer with Nesquik. You should try it.

Nectar. Elixer of the Gods.

To much of anything is bad for you, otherwise I could drink my weight in milk.

I love cow's milk. Such a pity I'm allergic to it. I have to drink that damn stuff made from soy beans :(
