Story of survival (butterbean the hamster)

Butterbeans Story.

2 unwanted pets who were dropped off at a local pet store (this pet store did not sell live stock) the guy working there knew my friend had 2 snakes, and though he'd give the 2 hamsters to my friend as snake food.

He put the 2 in the freeze, normally the "humane" way for animals is to do this so they can go to sleep and then die, there are certain hours and it maybe should have taken 5 hours or so.

Well when he goes to the freezer to get the hamsters to feed his snakes they were still alive, 18 hours later.

He did feed one to his female snake, and put butterbean in with the male snake.
The male snake was shedding his skin, so butterbean was saved.
That's when he asked me if I wanted her, or he'd go for snake food.
I took her.

His ears have some missing tissue, and noticed his back legs drag, dunno if they were like that before or not. But she's spunky, eating, pooping etc, but my friend read that after affects of frostbite can take a few days. I think this happened yesturday, or maybe the day before.

I got her food, woodchips and cage for free from the friend that put him in a tank with food, water etc... so everything he just gave to me.

He was amazed they lived that long, or at least butterbean since she wasn't snake good like his friend.

So my little girl is a survivor, as long as he doesn't get an infection.
I'll take a picture tomorrow and post it, she's orange and white.

She is doing well, she's acting normal and a cutie pie, she is the mascot of my abuse forum.
