If a plane looks iffy you can bet you wont be getting me on that thing.... I'm sure i'll get over it eventually, if I want to go anywhere like Bali, etc I can't drive to those islands :P

Planes they say are the safest way to travel, they are probably right... but the fear is still there none the less.

The movie alive freaked me out but that was a snow storm, same with La Bamba, now a days if the weather is bad they ground the planes, so that should ease the mind a bit.

Have you ever watched The Simpsons when the family is going on a plane to go on vacation, and Marge is terrified of it. She is on the plane running back and forth on the plane yelling let me off, that would be me haha.

I think if I had to sit with someone that talked like that i'd likely tell them off... I couldn't put up with behavior like that... I tend to speak my mind... I likely would with a person like that as well haha.

Also, when you are in the air, you can't just pull over and take a breath obviously. That's another thing, I sometimes need to know there's an escape route, that I can stop or go back if I need too, you kinda can't do that on a plane unless it's with a parachute. 8)

Planes also game claustrophia, Anyway, what would you choose to go across a long distance? A cruise ship, Remember "titanic"
Coño! I cried in the cinama when I saw Leonerdo DiCaprio sinking. Really, I have a packet of tissues ready. But, What was more amazng is that all many people in the cinema went with the corresponding packets of tissues in hand, before the movie started.

I'd do a cruise ship, i'm a boater, have had boats since we were 8... so that's something i'd be interested in, though I don't think the BF could enjoy it for a long period of time, he'd much prefer to fly.
The titanic didn't cause any worries for me. At least on a cruise ship I could always jump over board hahaha.

As for the sharks, i'll just knock them on the nose, in salt water too you float. I'm good... even though i'm a weak swimmer lol.

Wow! I just got through talking about how there's nobody nearby, and now I find out you might be my neighbor. You still go to the Hollywood area? I heard Dublin's is gone now.

Wow that would be fun. I hope we can settle a place for that. A place that can accommodate all of us here. Looking forward for that event.

I have 50+ acres of woods in north central Maine a bit further north of Lincoln or about 65 miles northeast of Bangor. There is a small building - used to be a one-car garage - if the weather gets too rugged in a tent. There is no running water, but there is a spring about 10 miles up the road where I fill jugs and containers for use at the camp. There is no electricity, but that makes being creative all that much more fun. I usually run a computer or DVD player off marine batteries and recharge the batteries with my car. When I am there, I rent a porta potty that is maintained once each week by the rental company. Otherwise, the showering is done with water that was heated by leaving it in the sun all day. Nothing better than a hot shower in the woods! each evening. There is one gas stove and a gas refrigerator, but a cooler with ice is a good idea, too.

I am pet friendly, but please, keep your dogs on a leash and your cat tethered with a harness. I like to take my parakeets, too.

Feel free to bring tents, barbecue grills or a portable kennel for your dog.
