This is a book quote...sort of, it's like a prelude to an 'unsettling' (putting it mildly) famous book, but I can't be bothered looking for/starting a book-quotes thread. It's one of my favourites - I think it sums up brilliantly/succinctly all a person needs to know to be a successful leader:
