Hi, I'm new to these forums, but I likely do have an internet addiction as I spend the vast majority of my waking hours online, at least 7-8. Moreover, when I go offline, unless I've got something specifically planned, I usually find myself bored.
Most of what I do is just watch videos on YouTube, mostly of people playing various video games (i.e. LPs or 'let's-plays') or in some cases various podcasts on social and political issues that I'm following. But I also just get urges to look up and read up on various obscure geeky topics that interest me, like etymologies in various ancient languages. I have a mild form of Tourette syndrome and one of my persistent tics a combination of graphomania (an urge to write) and obsessive daydreaming, and I find it most satisfying to write in a word processor, not by hand. Because this tic is also related to whatever information I can find online, it plays into the addiction.
