I have been told i have "snort arousals". Anything i can do?

Hi there.
I was wondering if you could suggest anything.

I did have an over-night sleep study a while back and was told
that i have "snort arousals" about 3 times an hour.
In my experience this always feels like i havent slept deeply,
and i always feel tired on awakening.

I was wondering if you have had these snort arousals and what you may have been
suggested to do.
I was given a mouth appliance, to open the air-waves.
But this has been too uncomfortable to use.

AIso,i would love to get hold of a sleep monitoring system that would give one information
about how one slept the night before.
Do you know if there is such a sleep tracking device in the U.K?.

Thanks a lot.

try magnesium citrate,

start with 100mg and work your way up to a comfortable level,

the mag will detox you at first and you will be able to tolerate higher doses afterward,

i take 100mg three times a day

drink plenty of water

5htp, can you explain what the magnesium citrate does to help improve sleep? I like to understand what mechanism anything I take has and I'm sure that others do too. I take magnesium to act as a muscle relaxant as I can get very tense and I take magnesium oxide tablets that I get off the shelf in a supermarket. Is there a difference between this and the mechanism or effects of magnesium citrate?

I have asked a friend of mine who is a surgeon/anaesthetist about magnesium before and she says that she actually uses it as a muscle relaxant during surgeries and injects her patients with about 4g of it though I'm not sure what form it is in. It's pretty safe to take though if you take too much you'll give yourself diarrhoea.

http://www.food.gov.uk/multimedia/pdfs/vitmin2003.pdf has a lot of researched information on safe levels of vitamins and minerals and magnesium is covered in the report.
