Has anyone ever been on both of these medications? Does Lunesta work similarly to Zyprexa for the sleep benefits?
I was on a low dose of Zyprexa for about 2 months to control some mood issues. It gave me the greatest sleep, and I woke up when my alarm went off ready to go.
I've always had random bouts of insomnia and it seems to run in the family.
Currently I take 150mg Lamictal for the mood disorder and I'm also trying 150mg of Wellbutrin.
I'm wondering if Lunesta works on the same part of the brain (at least regarding the sleep function) as Zyprexa.
Any ideas?

As a sleep aid, the main difference between Zyprexa and Lunesta is that Zyprexa is great for sleep, and Lunesta sucks. It doesn't just suck, it blows donkeys.
But Zyprexa makes you fat and gives you diabetes, Lunesta doesn't. Your choice.
