No sleep for days

Postby Jakku695 » Tue Nov 10, 2015 7:54 pm

Hi Im jack and I cant sleep really, and what I mean by that is I cant sleep at all, it all started at the end of October during the last week of college I was sleeping alright like normal really but then suddenly over the period of 24 hrs I couldn't sleep anymore, the strange thing is though is that I don't feel tired, in fact I feel wide awake not sure if wired is the right term but I'm not feeling any sort of effects from sleep deprivation, I have been to the doctors and they didn't really do anything but could there be any sort of condition that causes something like this to happen well suddenly? Im trying to get another appointment for the doctors but its hard at the moment and they have had a tendency to lie to me in the past but that's for another topic.

Thanks in advance
Jack

What's your caffeine usage like? Try exercising to the point of exhaustion (run sprints) early in the day. I always sleep better on days I exercise a lot. Talk to a doctor ASAP to see if it's insomnia or something else. Have you tried melatonin (OTC) or other prescription sleeping aids (klonopin works for me)? Also, a couple of beers make me sleepy. There is a chemical in beer that makes you sleepy. Drinking too much can disrupt your sleep however. Also try to avoid looking at bright lights like computer screens before bed. Meditation/yoga/deep breathing can help relax you.
"Have I gone mad?"
"I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are."
