I fall asleep fine. But I do not stay asleep. Yet my mind is not racing. I just become aware that I am not asleep but I am exhausted and feel unable to move, even to roll over. And this sensation recures all night.
I have seen my medical doctor. She put me on trazadone which makes me sleep, but not in a restful, restorative way. So I asked for a referal to see a sleep specialist, she sent me to some one in behaviorla medicine who realized I had a perscription for psycatric medication and said he couldn't treat me I needed to go to my psycatrist (now my regular doctor can also see all of my perscriptions so I don't know why she didn't tell me to go to my psycatrist, but oh well, just a waist of time and money). I called my psycatrist's office and they gave her a message but she felt she didnt need to see me and sugested I take more trazadone. I told the office I didn't think the issue was a pyscatric one and I didnt want to take more med. So they said that I should see my psycologist if that is the case. So I'm off to persue that avenue now, but as I said, my mind is not racing, I am completely calm so
I am just not sure how anyone in the mental health department would help.
What kind of doctor do YOU see for your insomnia? What kinds of doctors are out there who deal with insomnia?
Thanks.
