ok so im not entirely sur i am an insomniac but i dont know what else it could be.
I take so many hours to fall asleep and when i do i wake up so frequently its unreal. i think bad things all the time in bed and im always depressed by the time i fall asleep. Always waking, tossing and turning, grinding my teeth etc. But i do stay in bed for 10 hours tho i spend half of that time or less asleep.

This sounds similar to me. Grinding my teeth in a musical like pattern and thinking of bad things like being yelled at in the Marine Corps. I do what you do but for 15 hours a day. I have schizoaffective disorder too.

Hi out there. I wanted to introduce myself to everyone. I’ve been searching the web for info about isomnia and found this board. I’ve never thought about joining a board before, but after reading through some posts, I’m happy I did. I just want to say thanks to everyone for the support you offer here.

I bet you might have some sort of anxiety. At first my doctor thought I had anxiety, where my mind was just always on, never shutting off. But through trial & error, turned out not to be the case. But I could be wrong - I'm not the person to be diagnosing people
