Hi. I'm looking for tips to help with sleep maintenance insomnia, besides taking more of the drugs my dr. perscribed. For about 20 years, I have had minor to serious bouts of insomnia on a regular basis, but this is the first time I have had SMI - I go to sleep fine for 2 to 3 hours, then I'm awake, worn out and awake - and normal things I do to help when I am having insomnia (relaxation, breathing exersises, ect.) aren't helping me get back to sleep or into a restorative sleep. My SMI started about 4 months ago. I am tired. I want to have a restful nights sleep. Tonight, I will take two of my perscription because I have been taking 1 a night for a week or so and it is not helping. Two should help (it has in the past) but although I sleep deeper, I don't think I get in all my cycles.
Thanks for you help.
