I have a very hard time falling sleep and waking up after only a couple of hours, and not falling back to sleep. Now last month, I was so incredibly anxious about a new job, that was just impossible to do, that I only slept 2-3 hours a night for 3 weeks (and worked), and 5 days in a row, I never closed my eyes.....then I started hearing and seeing things. I ended up in ICU for 7 days...and on a medical unit for 2. Now granted, I have medical problems too, but a lot of what was going on was pure panic/sleep deprivation. I'm surprised they didn't ship me off to the psych unit. I know that sleep is soooooo important, and yet how do you get yourself to sleep? I'm still only sleeping at the most 4 hours in 24. I did however get 5 hours last night, but tried something new. I always sleep with the TV on, because if there is no noise, then my thoughts are loud, and I can't get to sleep....but sometimes, I can't sleep with the TV on, because I get interested in what's playing LOL, so last night I turned on a station that was soothing music only, and slept 5 hours! Yea!

It was a station that was playing music like what you would hear on one of those relaxation tapes. I'm going to try it again tonight
