hey....i have had trouble falling asleep for awhile now. it appears to be all psychological. i lay there and sorta self sabotage myself and almost tell myself that i cannot and will not fall asleep. then i start to think of how tired i will be and how my day will be ruined. i lay in bed obsessing on when and how i will fall asleep. i think of the science behind it and where my mind actually goes. i wait for the moment to happen but i prevent myself from sleeping. i seem to be sabotaging myself, which i do in other areas of my life as well. anyone experience this or have any ideas about getting past this? thnx

I do that a lot...or I start worrying about things that need to be done that I've been avoiding. But other than meds, the only thing that I've found to stop my thoughts from cycling is to sleep with the tv on. I lay and listen to a show rather than let my mind wander off.

Hi, one good thing you can do is to get as much information you can about the subject, take what you think is best for you and discard the rest, here is a good reading you can do
about insomnia.

Have you tried the alphadynamics sleep CD? It has no words on it but works for me even though my thoughts are like a river in flood.
