Any experience with Fisher Wallace Stimulator?

Postby Ydnar » Thu Nov 28, 2013 7:50 am

I've been battling primary insomnia for decades. Two overnight sleep studies have determined it's primary. The current consensus is not promising... I've done some serious damage to my brain chemistry with benzos, it seems. Nonetheless, I'm always looking for hope, and there is suddenly a lot of online presence with a ces device called the Fisher Wallace Stimulator...for anxiety and insomnia. Does anyone have experience with this? I am suspicious of the way it's being promoted, and am in search of candid testimonials. Thanks for your suggestions and insights.

Hi,

I have some experience with using CES so hopefully I can provide a more balance review to the promotional material you've been reading.

First off, I suffer from tics (motor), OCD, binge eating and insomnia. I thoroughly researched CES about 12 months ago and purchased the Oasis Pro. I found that just after a couple of sessions my mind was calmer (less mental chatter) and my OCD was reduced. Unfortunately, the device increase my tics so I had to stop using it as the tics were keeping me awake. I gave the device to a relative and they claimed it helped them to fall asleep.

The research surrounding CES for insomnia is pretty good. According to one study, using CES daily for 45 minutes, over two weeks, produced significant improvements in insomnia for 90% of the participants!

Even though I didn't have a good experience with CES, I would recommended you try it. However, it would probably be best for you to rent a device for a month to see if it agrees with you.

In the UK, the CES device that is most publicised is the alpha-stim. I choose to purchase the Oasis pro from Mind Alive inc. because it has much better functionality, uses a unique type of wave form and was much cheaper. I was very impressed with the build quality and the support from the company.

I have no experience with the Fisher Wallace device. I want to make it clear that I'm not associated with any one of these companies. Probably, you would get equally good results from either CES device but its important to consider other factors such as price, functionality and warranty.

If you live in the UK, there's a guy in York that hires out these devices to try.

I hope it works out for you.
