If I Could Tell The World One Thing...

Postby Nanashi » Tue Nov 16, 2010 4:12 pm

Thanks to Evol222 and OneBraveGirl for their idea for this thread and encouragement from panzerfaust, I have decided to act upon it. What is it for, you ask? If one could speak to every soul in the world, what would you say? What words of guidance, wisdom, peace, and love could you offer? This also goes for expressing what you believe should change.
This may seem pointless to some but, in it's honest entirety, this is a chance to reveal what is in our hearts.

As for myself, I will have to be candid somewhat as my beliefs and thoughts could create an article! :) Therefore, I will select one which I know to be dire to us all: Family.

Why do our homes seem so empty, even though everyone is present?
How is it we no longer recognize our children or parents? Did we even know them at all?
Can we come together in unity with smiles instead of the silence and ackward conversation at the table?
What are we doing wrong? Where did we go astray? What are we seeking above all else? What are we sacrificing?
Nothing can replace time lost. Is it too late already to reach out for the pillar of our lives?
The large homes, the luxurious vehicles, a profession requiring every single breath, the debts that pile up. I would give it all just to tuck in my little ones and kiss my loved ones good night. With sleep that comes peacefully. Is that so strange?

I do not wish to exclude anyone with an struggles, illness, or disorder that has difficulty attaining these things. If so, continue healing and improving yourself. All good things come in time, yes? As I said, this just one of many in that I feel is important to tell the world. If I am able, I would love to share more eventually as this thread goes on.

For now, what would you tell the world?

-Nanashi-
Hold these thoughts of you close and never forget
In the darkness nothing is clear
Far away, yet in my heart you're near
Let each scar vanish...and believe...forever

Good job Nanashi. Good summation of society's mundane ills.

Nothing can replace time lost.

The passage of time underscores all the other considerations either good or bad. The canvas where the colors are applied keeps getting smaller with less and less room remaining to paint a pleasing portrait.
Am I avoidant or are you repulsive?

Life can always get worse. Much worse, so show Gratitude as much as possible. When we have no Gratitude we are suffocating ourselves. If we only sit in our pain, we forget that we are all similar. We all want to be heard, understood and valued. Share your joy and pain with others and the world feels a little bigger and a little more bright. Then we gain Gratitude and that always leads to Hope. Hope is what motivates us to Heal.
Start by saying Thank you for even the smallest things.
