@ oh_that_ guy: In addition to what I previously mentioned, my self-esteem and self-confidence are also very low. Do you think that this, also, might have an effect on my case?

Thanks for your time.

Boy, affecting your depression, I can't tell you for sure. I'm only 22, but I can't remember exactly what kinds of thoughts I was having just a few years ago. I mean, a lot of the time I like to look at someone else's point of view, if they are exactly like yours or similar, well yea I just don't know. I would kinda agree that it has to do with maturing in a sense, but yea I'm not sure what to tell you here.

Self-esteem, I mean I'm sure I can find a way to link all that together if you gave me time, I'd rather not though. If you don't have a lot of confidence, do something that can build that up if it's a problem. Meaningfully build it up, don't put others down to accomplish that. For me, learning things does that, figuring out intricate details, along those lines. The solution most people have is to just "think big, and you'll be big", but I think that gives yourself a false sense of, ego I guess, leads to superiority which no one really is superior. Accomplish something, however small or big it is, as long as it's something you can be proud that you did.

Ameer27,

Looks like you got some good advice there. I would just like to add that you recently left school and it takes time to adjust. I think your psyche is working a little overtime wondering what’s coming next. Leave off the Red Bull and work to quieten your mind. :) Soft music might help, a bit of relaxation, or just counting slowly to 500 in a relaxed way.

Relax. It’s just an adjustment period. Things will start to make sense again once you get a job. Your mind and body are used to the routine of school and now your not doing much. It’s just your brain trying to figure out what you’re playing at. :)
