Have you ever wondered???

Hi people I have this unique experience last week, I was with a friend at the mall waiting for our friends "new" friend(he's a young man) now there really nothing wrong with it, we were completely ok, until we went out to have a a few sips of drink in his house. The one I am referring now is when this guy blended with us on our joke, we all felt the heaviness of this man, now I believe I was the real victim here because when I shook his hand, I felt weird , so I immediately let go of his hand, as a result (I believe he was quite shocked at me) he places his palm on my head and just rub my hair(like rubbing a kids hair) . It was a simple gesture but mind you people I reaallly felt the down-ness of this guy! I believe, he's something else!

I'm not quite sure I know what happened, to be honest. Firstly, what do you mean by him being 'something else'? Do you mean that you're attracted to him or that you just got a strange 'vibe' from him? I think that you shouold talk more about this, because i'm struggling to understand exactly what happened. Some people we meet in life just inspire us and we can feel weird around them, but - even if this is what has happened here - I don't understand why you've posted in the 'hope' forum.

Well, I never really had a personal experience like yours, but as you said, you just met this new friend of a friend that sort of blended with your group. So, maybe that's his way of expressing his friendliness and trying to establish some rapport and connection with you guys. So don't take it personally.

Give this person a chance, and maybe in his part, he's also quite shy or kinda out of place as he's the only one new in the group, so he's trying extra hard to please you. So don't write him off yet, ok?

People communicate mostly in body language. Posture, eye contact and eye motion are huge tells. How a person shakes you hand, what they sat with out words all give you indications of a person. If you feel uncomfortable with this person, I say listen to your instincts.
By any chance, do you have PTSD? I ask because people with PTSD in general are very good at picking up on queues that most other people miss.
