Does anyone know a weight loss strategy???

Postby Xambo » Tue May 20, 2008 4:39 am

Hi, I am 23 years old and have been gaining on pounds and this is getting to me. The thing is that after several efforts of exercise and dieting, I don’t seem to get any slimmer! There are many ways to lose weight, but I have exhausted all the ways I know. I have consulted a few people but all of them have been telling me the same thing. It isn’t helping me and only making my fears worse.

Is there some way to make me feel better!!!

Hi,

The best advice I can say to you is to try to be happy with your body as it is. I know how difficult that can be though because I have had issues with how I look for many years now. You don't actually need a diet or exercise to lose weight. You just need to eat regular meals, but not eat too much each time. If you really need to lose weight, I suggest eating a fair bit of fruit with each meal. Also, don't eat any sugary foods. They will mess-up your metabolism and cause more harm than good.

Another strategy is to focus-on and plan your meals. Once you then have a plan set, you are less likely to go 'overboard' when eating.

Kevin.

I lost over 100 pounds and have kept it off for many years. I used a technique that most people will not use, but it worked for me. I basically did a lot of exercise, but did not diet to lose the weight. Today, since I'm older, I do watch my diet a little--I try to not eat a few foods that are not at all good for us, but that are popular--potato chips, french fries, soda.

On my website I wrote an article about losing weight since so many people have the problem today.

Good Luck,
Jim S
On my website I have written about my struggles with alcohol, depression, bipolar, ADHD, compulsive eating.

You are not the only one having problems trying to lose weight, without any success. I know that it is very frustrating to try all sorts of things and still be in the same shape…..I too have faced that!!! Just a couple of weeks back I came across Weight Loss 2008 that not only made me glad I did (I finally got a product that does the real thing) but got the work started. It has been a great way for me because it doesn’t throw up obstacles but gets the job done.

A complete weight loss program should include regular exercise and workouts along with meals which must not have high calorie ingredients and lots of water to drink.

Hi,

Try this......

Dietary control and exercise. It’s true what they say - all you need to do is watch what you eat, and expend more energy than you consume.
Change your lifestyle.
Join an online support group.
Tell your family. You’re not going to lose the weight alone, even if you ARE alone in losing the weight. If you’ve got a family at home, talk to them about it - initially, not incessantly. Let them know what you’re going to do.
Identify your exercise. No exercise was created equal. You might like running, so run. You might like jogging, so jog. You might like stationary bikes, so bike stationarily. Find the one that works best for you - that isn’t too much of a chore for you to do regularly throughout the week.
Set realistic goals.
Avoid trans fats and high fructose corn syrup.
Vitamins are good for you. If you’re going to take any pills, let them be natural supplements (like Essential Fatty Acids or multivitamins). Be careful about overdoing it, though - especially with herbal remedies.

Good Luck!!!!

Yeast Infection

Keep exercising and don't eat till your tummy is full. Leave a little space and hunger inside.
