The Essence

We are constituted by three parts: Matter, Soul and Spirit.

Matter: our Physical Body or human machine.

Soul or Mind: The Psychic Energy. Unfourtainly our mind is controlled by a lot of defects: fear, anxiety, depression, thoughts about suicide, envy, low self-esteem, etc. We need to do a hard work to free the Mind of the defects and return to our Essence, our Conscience. It is like to do a “mind cleaning”...

Spirit or Conscience: The Real Being. No matter your mind troubles, he is beyond of them, he can not be affected by them. When you do a meditation you can enter in contact with him and feel peace inside. All our problems are in our mind.

How you can eliminate mind defects???

1. Practice self-observation, in the moment you perceive a negative thought or feeling (as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, etc) Breath deeply and do a little pray asking to your internal spirit an aid to eliminate the defect you have in your mind.

2. Value your sexual energy. Practices as masturbation or pornography, make you internally weak. We need to respect our sexuality, a good exercise is the Pranayama (a special breath)
Through Pranayama control, we will be able to control our own mind.Breathing should be slower each time when practicing the Pranayama.

Here is the procedure:
Before starting, close your eyes to achieve a deeper concentration.

1. Close your eyes, so you don't get distracted by any kind of noise.
2. Block your right nostril with your thumb and breath slowly by your left nostril.
3. Now, block your left nostril with your pointing finger (in this moment both nostrils are blocked and you will retain your breath by some seconds)
4. Release your righ nostril and breathe out slowly through it.
5. Keep your left nostril blocked with your pointing finger, and breath by your right nostril
6. Block your right nostril (in this moment both nostrils are blocked and you will retain your breath by some seconds)
7. Release your left nostril and exhale slowly through it.
8. Continue another cycle, repeating all the Pranayama. Start to breath with your left nostril, block your left nostril with your pointing finger, retain your breath, exhale through your right nostril, breath through your right nostril, etc. Etc-

For starter, you can practice 10 minutes in the morning and at night. Later on, you can practice in the afternoon and evening. Remember to do it slowly.

3. Do activities to help humanity and heal the world. Try to help other person...

With this three practices, you will feel a difference in your life.

The way you had written it is called yoga.
Yoga is just other word of meditation that our body needed for self curing with self help.
