Steps to Happiness

Happiness is a journey. If we are to be remain hopeful, we need to take small positive steps everyday. This thread is to give us hope that even the smallest steps can create a huge impact on our mental health.

My small step for today:

Feeling good about my future.
We all need goals to motivate us, and these need to be challenging enough to excite us, but also achievable. If we try to attempt the impossible, it brings unnecessary stress. Choosing ambitious but realistic goals gives our lives direction and brings a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction when we achieve them.

Knowing That Everything Is Temporary
None of life's events are permanent; all pass and move away. When you truly realize that everything is temporary, it all fades away ...

Learning to Relax
I see so many people fill their schedules with numerous activities, leaving no room for relaxation. This constant running around doing stressful activities causes burn-out. Much of it leads to depression. Instead, my day is spent relaxing and watching funny movies and funny videos. Listening to restful music helps too.

Good stuff. The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. There will be set backs, but those small steps really do add up.

Thanks xdude. We all need a break from all the negativity in the world, so I decided to start a few positive threads in the Hope section.
