A Light at the End of the Tunnel

Postby brokenblade » Wed Aug 14, 2013 11:26 pm

Over the past 4 months, things have been changing. One thing that has changed the most is myself. I used to be withdrawn and isolated. I only had about 4 friends at the time. Two of them passed away. Also, for a good part of the time, I was being harassed and stalked by a pervert.

After a couple of my friends passed away (almost one year apart), I eventually snapped. I decided that I am going to actually reach out to people that I know who could be friends. (Even though I've only considered very few people as friends, I did know a lot of people in the places I went to). Interestingly enough, it only took talking to one person before I got swarmed. (It is actually weird how it happened) All of a sudden I have more than 10, almost 20 friends within the last 4 months.

People that know me noted a change in me. They have noted how I used to be withdrawn and now I am actually open. (This happened over a course of 4 years, not all at once though with my personal change).

To top things off, I may actually be in the beginning of a romantic relationship. It seems like things are looking up for me.

Dear brokenblade,

This is a great awakening for you! For some reason, I've been hearing the definition of insanity being thrown around a lot, but it is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
You started something new and it worked out! Most people are too afraid to do this! They wear the same comfort blanket they always do and refuse to take chances! Most of all, people are too afraid to go after what they truly want.
I have recently started to live in a way where nothing is going to stop me from getting to where I need to be. I have never felt more alive!
I am glad to see someone with positivity and hope! We need to inspire more people to learn how to help themselves because ultimately it is up to the individual.

Thanks

I am hoping to bring more inspiration to people who are struggling and let them know that they do not have to live a defeated life. You can change your life as well. It does take a shift in mentality.
