Hi, and Welcome to HOPE.

We have tried to create a comfortable atmosphere in which we can discuss the mental health issues of our lives. Please recognize the right of all members to practice anonymity. In this, and all other matters pertaining to our mutual sharing, respect is imperative.

Please remember, we are NOT a therapy group; there is no professional counseling offered here. We do not attempt to act as experts, and should not be used as a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis now, seek emergency care.

My name is dd, and I will be your moderator. I am looking forward to talking with each and every one of you . This is a place of caring, sharing , coping, and hope.

Tyger,

You should see a registation option at the top? It gives you the option to set up a small profile , and user name.
You can also post as guest, as you did here.

Welcome, and thanks so much for joing us.

Feel free to start a new topic too, just like in the old Hope. ie, our thread, valium.

This forum has so many sections and members outside the hope section, it's huge. I'm sure you'll find alot of subjects that might fit your interests thru the scroll bar at the top.

I'm sooooooo glad you came , there are already 6 of us already. SirG, wrote me a private message, so hope to see him post soon.

Have a great night, and again thank you and WELCOME.
:) ,dd

Rene,

Hi there, so glad you could join us here.

Sorry you are experiencing trouble with your login.
If I'm understanding you right, you went thru the registration,ie. setting up user name, password, and brief profile?

If you have done that and selected login automatically, you should come in as logged in each session without having to do it manually, if not you will.
Under faqs at the top of the page there are sections on various q&a's regarding alot of the forum use, and options.
You can come in and post like you did, but as you'll read there are some options not available to you if not registered.

I hope this helps.
The link I sent you was a direct link to HOPE.
It is inside the living with mental illness section.
You can navigate from section to section thru the scroll down at the top of the page.

I'm really happy to see you, feel free to browse around, and to check out how things work. We already have several members here I think you'll recognize.

If you have any other questions for me , just let me know . It takes time to get used to a new set up. Don't feel bad. Also feel free to start a new topic, once you are registered and logged in. When you are logged in you'll see it tell you at the top right, and your name will change to Rene, consumer, rather than guest.

TTYS, ,dd

I have a problem registering.

Postby Chuseule » Wed Jul 13, 2005 2:40 pm

Allo DDee,

I noticed that you are one of the many mods in here so I am hoping that you can help me. I tried to register but a message returned that my "confirmation word" was incorrect. What confirmation word? Does it mean my password confirmation? If so, I retyped my password confirmation until a message came up and stated that I cannot try to register again today and to try again tomorrow.
That is fine, but tomorrow I do not want to make the same mistake so could you tell me what I may be doing incorrectly.

By the way, when these messages of the confirmation word being incorrect showed up my "password" and "password confirmation" were erased. Perhaps I misunderstand but the "password" that is being requested is a password of my choice for here - or not?

Hi there, if you have been a registered guest on this computer, it may have stored cookies that recognize your IP address, and it will only let you login under that ID and password.

There have been some security updates so you might go to faq's and see if that helps or contact seanetal the forum administrator.

http://www.psychforums.com/forums/faq.php

I hope this helps. I set mine after that to autologin. so I don't have to go thru that anymore.
