Brene Brown: The Power of Vulnerability

Postby Kaly » Wed Jun 26, 2013 12:49 pm

Brené Brown studies human connection -- our ability to empathize, belong, love. In a poignant, funny talk, she shares a deep insight from her research, one that sent her on a personal quest to know herself as well as to understand humanity, 2010.

This is the first of two talks that Brene Brown made for TED. I am presently taking a course on Emotional Regulation Mindfullness and Interpersonal Relationships and the group facilitator gave us the link as part of an assignment. The second talk in the series was presented in 2012 and is called Listening to Shame, also on Ted and builds on this first talk.

Dear Kaly,

Thanks for pointed this out! I watched this a long time ago and her messages have still stuck with me. Most people have questioned the meaning of life, and whenever they ask on these forums, I give them her answer. The purpose of life is to connect with people, and may all those who are lost find hope in these words!
