This is what I've been through. Never heard this term for it:

No one would believe me if they really knew. The victims look like the ones in the wrong, whilst the perpetrator looks like they're in the right.
Odd that I never knew gaslighting had an offical name.

So why not just call it Ambient Abuse instead of Gaslighting?
Why leave room for people to hear about this very serious form of emotional abuse and be able to say, "Gaslighting isn't an offical term"....so that they could gaslight gaslightings existence
