I have always found that women I date are interested in the test in the book "Please understand Me" as a way of getting closer. When I suggested my HPD take the test, she patently refused, saying tests are BS. I'm curious if others posting here have tried to get them to test, if so, what were the reponses and what were the results? Also, what are your results? Are we all the same type???

LOL, when I first told my girl she had HPD she seemed confused and vaguely interested in the possibility but later after sufficiently rewiring her thoughts she told me that I didn't really know her LOL.

She admitted to doing some of the things outlined in the HPD literature but not all.

Of course not all.

She can't be HPD!

One more problem in addition to her depression would just be too much for her to take!!

Little did she know that her depression was brought about by HPD. It is the root cause.

So yeah that was about as far as I got in testing her ie giving her some HPD links to read about but of course this ended in massive denial.

Big surprise there.

I never asked her to take any tests (I was considering a communication skills test but never did it) but I know what her response would be because she echoed it to me on other occasions when I called out on her #######4:

"There is nothing wrong with me! My famiily and friends know it! Why do I need a test to tell me I'm perfect and you're completely wrong."

Getting her to take a test would have been like trying to give a cat a bath. I would have ended up bloody and scarred.

I was contemplating asking her to go to a relationship psychologist due to the insanity that I could not explain that was going on, but had yet to broach the subject before the end came mercifully crashing down on the relationship.

But I can tell you with complete certainty she would have refused. B/c no one could tell her she was wrong, not me, not her parents, not a licensed clincial professional with years of experience! Haha.

Would have been fun though, I see now in retrospect, getting her to one to see her squirm and try to fight through her denial and perverted nature under questioning from a professional probing for problems in her psyche.

But I suspect she would have lied through her teeth because that's her nature - and probably w/out cognitively knowing she was doing it. So it would have been of little value I think.

yes u are probably correct...my hpd told me within the 1st few weeks she was not good at relationships...yet there appeared to be no attempt to learn why or try and work on it...she has resigned herself to being alone. Weird!
