There is some evidence that certain in certain PD's (AsPD) the acting out of associated behaviors decreases due natural decline of hormones and energy; probably also occurs in HPD which when not responsible for the decline of the condition itself might explain a shift in supply strategies...
the somatization is a very real and active strategy of my dad's, i think it is a byproduct of poor coping mechanisms for him with strong mental//inter-personal relationships though. *shrugs* just thought i would throw that in there.
