Email the moderators. Post a thread about how you feel this is an unsupportive environment. Call out those who need to be called out.

THIS IS NOT A SUPPORTIVE PLACE FOR THE MENTALLY ILL AND WE DESERVE A SUPPORTIVE PLACE.

I have hard time understanding what is the problem. References and links to the specific problematic posts would help.

One more thing, HPD is not a mental illness, it's a disorder.

I repeat: Do you have HPD?

By my count there are three women active on this board who have actually been diagnosed with HPD.

I wonder why that is?

If I'm wrong - come on forward - stand up - let's have a count.

Why should this make any differences? I am VERY empathic of those who have the disorder, I never bashed on them, to the contrary!!!

I agree with you that this board should not be used to attack people who have it, but it would help if you could point on specific materials which are unacceptable.

I have to say I find the HPD forum very unusual. The BPD and ASPD forums are so much more disordered friendly. What I find strange here is that there is so much black and white thinking regarding HPD. If a person doesn’t admit to what text books or even non peer reviewed articles on the net say, they are accused of being unaware. There seems to be no allowance made for individuality. It just seems some of the nons are going round in circles, and the HPD’s get run out. Other MH forums I have visited only have a PD forum, where most of the posters have BPD, however it seems like a waste of a dedicated HPD forum if the sufferers feel unable to post here.

Im glad Im not the only HPD/BPD person who feels this way.

Just because Im disordered doesn't mean you have to treat me like some ex-girlfriend in your own life. We are all here for help and healing.

I think the subject bears discussion. I'd like to hear examples of how you've been treated like an ex girlfriend. please be specific.

This board, as with all the Personality Disorder boards, is first and foremost for the disordered.
We make great efforts to try and make this happen, but there ARE limits to what we can do.
Banishing the Nons to another forum is currently not in our capabilities, and not what we want for the board anyway. It's our hope that you all can quasi-get along.

If you find a thread offensive, or a member to be so, contact a mod.
I offer up my mailbox to anyone with a problem.
I will deal with it as best I can, objectively and unbiased, because I am neither HPD or Non.
I'm BPD... which a whole other ballgame.

Masquerade is an HPDer. And female.
If you feel more comfortable messaging her, because she will better understand the nature of the situation, she is also available.

We are here to help you. To uphold the rules as best we can and attempt to create a supportive atmosphere, but it does take a little help from those involved.
We can't be everywhere.
We DON'T WANT to edit, delete or have to proof read all the posts.
We WANT you to feel like you can talk about what's bothering you. You just have to do it according to the rules. That means you keep the hostility minimal, and if you have problems, you get a mod involved so we help.

We're here to help. We want to help.
Please let us help.

At the top of the forum there is a notice titled ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS, which explains the board's position here, stating that this is a support forum for those with HPD. I wonder how many of you here have actually read it? The board is slowly moving forward and becoming more HPD friendly and we are all united as mods to ensure that things run smoothly here and it becomes a safe and welcoming place for all who come here.

As Smile said, if there are issues, contact us. I will respond to any messages I receive as soon as I open them and get back asap. Arguments don't do anyone any favours, and anger can prevent you from getting your message across in a way that will be fully heard. They are counter productive.

You have to share your space here and need to do so with respect. There have been certain threads which, whilst not overtly displaying insults, could be said to be triggering and they detract from HPD issues.

We are moderators, not referees, and you all have a responsibility to respect the board and other users. If it is to continue to move forward, respect is essential. IF IN DOUBT, MESSAGE ME. IF OTHER USERS OFFEND YOU, MESSAGE ME. I aim to be unbiased here and will act upon any messages I receive in the way I perceive to be fair and productive for the board.

Thank you, Mods, for intervening here. This has been most helpful, although unfortunate at the same time.

Ghost5of7, just so that you're aware, I was not pertaining to the thread that I started or any advice that I received on the HPD/BPD factors. This comment was more directed toward a PM that I received yesterday, and also someone who has been badgering me for a long time. He is no longer around.

Just wanted to let you know that I do appreciate your comments and posts.
