This is a really interesting topic.

I'm a male who has dated many HPD women and would say that they are very similar in the way in which they seem to interact with other women.

A striking similarity is that they normally have one long term close female friend (who is no competition for them either looks/personality) and will have frequent temporary friendships with other women. Much like with men, these temporary friendships seem to be intense then suddenly nothing with future hoovering type contact, then nothing again. The fan club consists of ever changing members both male and female.

What is really fascinating though is when 2 extreme HPD women meet. They almost cannot see each other, their interaction is very strange. Very similar to one another but as if they are unable to properly communicate and are confused. If you ever see this you will know exactly what I mean.

Just ten thousand reflections

So what does that entail in concrete terms? I'm curious.

Yes very interesting topic. I'm interested in hearing from the women themselves. My diagnosis involves elements of HPD specifically using my sexuality to relate to both men and women. That is probably the most prominant feature. I'm not bisexual but can be very attracted to both sexes. It always takes time the attraction is never instant. I say "relate" because I'm not normally conscious of it. Male friends have often told me I confuse them, and females expect lots of physical affection.

I don't know I guess if I met someone like me, I would be confused too ..... or have a fun time !!

Oh Ratatosk what an interesting choice of words :? . Asking someone with HPD traits themselves to describe things in 'concrete terms' ....I'll have a go.

By strange interaction I mean even if they know each other they act a bit like strangers that are happy to see each other for the first time. Their body language is similar to one another but even more theatrical than usual, almost as if they are trying to out do each other in front of their 'audience'...anything from extra loud, crazy laughter, exaggerated female preening and gestures. The confusion shows on their faces because most women do not react to them in this way, so this works both ways.

I can remember my most recent ex who is diagnosed HPD meeting another woman that I know with very strong HPD traits and it was such a sight!
