I thought Astrology had to be complete junk..........and the daily stuff is.........

I had this gf in the 70's that was really into it, and soon I read everything I could get my hands on to prove that it was bs. I was not going to tell her, in fact we soon parted and my search for the truth had nothing to do with her.

Well folks....then I took a job in a factory with 1200 people. And sure enough the capricorns were mostly control freaks,
the virgos were nitpickers, Sag's love to teach and explain, and 8 out of 10 Leos stand out as being dramatic---histrionic very lively and bratty, etc.

I still don't understand it..........but Hollywood is full of Leo women......

hmmmm, I am not convinced that there is a relationship with Astrology. My X is Virgo. The only thing I can draw from that is that the only 2 women that really hurt me during my life were both Virgo's. My Scorpio sting is no match for a Virgo "Femme Fatale"...

For what it's worth my X was Virgo. Astrology is of course utter tosh though, unless you believe in the tooth fairy that is.

I am a Scorpio male and have AvPD which is effectively the opposite of HPD as I hate attention and avoid it.

There you go; zodiac signs = bullsh!t.

hehehehe...yes zodiac signs are Bullsh!t for the explanation for PD...my compination with him is fantastic I was born 3 days before him and I don't have HPD traits---(HPD-moderate, AvPD-low)...even though his brother is Leo and has HPD...Leo is the usual sun sign for the HPD disorder

I love these posts! They are certainly more light hearted than usual, and after pouring my heart out in other posts, some light relief would be good. Maybe we do a survey? I am a Cancerian with Gemini ascendant, a recovering histrionic thanks to extensive therapy and as my true personality is beginning to unfold at last, I am noticing more Cancerian traits. Whilst agreeing with Jung's concepts on astrology and the relation to synchronicity, I don't believe that "pop" astrology is particularly accurate, and is too simplistic. A lot would also depend on the planetry positions etc at the time of birth, if indeed there is any truth in it. I do believe, however, that it is possible that people "grow" into their star signs and if a person has a predisposition to histrionic disorder, then reading time and time again that Leos are supposed to be a certain way, would serve to reinforce any latent tendencies that they already have. HPDs do tend to be quite naively impressionable after all. My two children are both Leos and they do tend to be fairly typical of their signs in some ways, being quite fiesty, whereas my grandkids are all Librans and are much gentler in temperament. None of them, however, show any signs of having a disorder. I really think that astrology has very little to do with it. Apart from soicopathy, which has a physiological and genetic component, the personality disorders occur as a result of environmental factors. The true personality of the individual has never had a chance to develop. I have found this to be the case during my own healing process as my real self and personality is slowly emerging.
