It's been almost half a year since I last checked this forum, and I thought it would be nice to drop in and say hi to everyone. Almost two years after my HPD ex and I broke up, life is generally very happy, full of sunshine and warm, loving people, and blissfully carefree. Sure, I need to pay the rent, get up in the morning to go to work (hard) and live in a only-half-renovated house, but that's no problem. Such is life, and life is good now.

A far cry from the times I had with my HPD ex: drama, discussions, frustrations, money problems, alienating from friends and family... One wonders why I waited till I had evidence of her cheating to leave her!

I'm going to be brief here, since life is too interesting to spend too much time on the internet - especially since we've got one of the last summer days today - but for all the newcomers who struggle, some advice:

1) this too shall pass
2) no contact is the way to go
3) seek out your old and good friends
4) meet new men/women and just enjoy observing how many wonderful people are out there
5) live! it's just a short stay on this planet, and a year is a terribly long time to waste.
6) get a therapist if you feel you need to talk to someone in depth

I could go on, but that's about it.. To all the regulars and strongholds of the forum of yore, thanks for all the help and advice, I still thinkly warmly of all of you, and godspeed!

Hey Don !

I'm happy for you.......... you're no longer a "victim".

You're a "survivor", and a "conqueror"!

I'm doing great too!

We did good Don, we did good...............

And I thank the people here too, for helping me when I was lost in

the deep dark hole,,,,,

Hey Don good to see you and you offer such good advice. Glad to see life is good for you too

Good to see so many not only recover, but thriving once again
You feed the fire that burned us all
When you lied
To feel the pain that spurs you on
