Holy Moly! What sort of title is that? Sounds like something out of the 1890's when the medical profession believed that women needed an orgasm to cure them of 'hysteria'. What year was it written in?

Hi Lynn:
This book is from the early 1980's. It's explained almost in laymans terms which makes it much easier to understand than most other books of its kind. The good thing too is that the mechanisms that lead to this condition in some females are unravelled step by step without generalizing and without being detrimental to women (this book concentrates on HPD in females rather than in both sexes). It has helped me understand why this girl hurt me so much in ways that i was not prepared for, it has also helped me to reduce my anger towards her. I realise now that she dropped hints all the time about her inner turmoil, but in very disparate ways. Before reading this book I had not recognized the signs which were vague, if I had at the time I may have been able to manage the situations more calmly than I did.
When I broke off this relationship over 2 years ago I did so loving her still very deeply and that upset me greatly. I suffered a great deal and I needed to understand why I broke it off, as it does not make sense to break off when in love without good reason. That had not happened to me before. This book has helped me to understand why I made the decisions I did and why i did not go back to her.
Cheers Musician.
