It's disheartening to me to read people post that are so willing to give themselves in to a personality disorder...

Lemme say that again...

DISORDER.

That's a huge thing people! To be truly disordered is a huge thing!
It jacks with your life! It affects your whole life! All of it, and certainly that which includes interaction with other people (and by this mean anyone with a pulse; family, friends, co-workers, the lady at the checkout stand...).

I'm just not reading that in Lost's posts.

Sounds like he's having a tough time to be sure. Sounds like he's aware of it. Sounds like he's aware help maybe necassary and available...these are all very good signs of a reasonably well adjusted fellow.

Has he got issues? Sure he does! Who doesn't?!

I'm thinking his issues may be more of the tendency variety than actual disorder.

When you get in to see a professional don't surprised if he tells you you're actually okay...

Then again don't be surprised if he tells you you're really screwed up and will need months of therapy.

Remember he's a professional with bills to pay... and you're a paying customer.

Try this though... after posting about all the things you know about yourself... do something different.

People are people everywhere you go. I was at Barnes and Noble last night with a friend. We were perusing the tables when this title jumped up at me and I swear I thought I was going to have to swat it away with my hand!

It was a book by that "Body by Jake" fellow Jake Steinfeld, the title is "I've Seen a Lot of Famous People Naked, and They've Got Nothing on You".

I thought to myself...YAHTZEE! BINGO!

Instinctively we know this is true we only have to accept the truth of it.

Lost22 is people too! That's a good thing!
