I was thinking about this before, but I think Robin Williams and Jim Carrey are examples of classic extroverted histrionics.

I see it more in Robin Williams, especially knowing how emotional he was, long battle with severe depression, etc. I also detect an appeasing quality to him, desire for acceptance and approval, need to please others.

I have to think about Jim Carey.

Well, look at Jim Carry's reaction and listen to what he says in the beginning when he described feeling devastated that he didn't get a thumb of approval from Johnny Carson after his first visit on the tonight show. That stood out to me.

But I could be way off base on that, though.

I wonder about Dennis Rodman.

Not an actor though.

I'm not so sure about that one. I think he's just outspoken and opinionated, nothing about him screams Hpd to me.

Robin Williams doesn't exemplify HPD to me, not at all.

If anything, he exemplifies the tragic clown, an over-the-top funny man covering personal pain with antics.

But that didn't stem from a disorder, but rather from a depressive personality that tried many things to overcome his propensity towards sadness.

His humor is outrageous, yes. And ludicrous. And look-at-me. But that was not his basic personality when he wasn't 'on'.

Not sure about any actor. When on camera is that them or the job?

More generally, I think it's off camera, around those who are closest, that those with cluster B personalities express the rest of who they are.
